LMK’s Nolan Regan Advances Towards The National Geography Bee

The Louis M. Klein Middle School students will advance to next stage before the State competition

The competition for the Louis M. Klein Middle School 7th grade representative for the National Geography Bee Competition took place on January 11, 2019. Eleven 7th grade students were chosen from preliminary competitions held in their Social Studies classes to compete in this final competition.

The finalists were: Nick Corsetti, Noah Geller, Ben Gold, Mark Logudice, Tommy Mangan, Ben Nelson, Nolan Regan, Jake Robinson, Mako Suzuki, Zahra Touijer and Casey Wu.

After numerous rounds of suspense-filled competition, only Nick and Nolan remained. Nolan correctly identified a fjord as the Norwegian term for a long, narrow sea inlet carved out by a glacier, to win the school bee!

Nolan has earned the right to advance to the next level of the competition, which is a written examination. If all goes well with the written test, he will have the opportunity to compete at the state level.

Congratulations to all the contestants and best of luck to Nolan!
