Manhattanville College First Years Arrive as Fall Semester Starts
500 first-year students are welcomed in traditional parade applauded by faculty and staff
PURCHASE, NY, AUGUST 26 – At Manhattanville College, first-year students arrived today to a special welcome from faculty and staff. In a longstanding tradition, 500 students were applauded as they paraded into Reid Castle for a brief ceremony. Liberal arts colleges like Manhattanville are rebounding from the pandemic. Manhattanville saw a 40 percent increase in enrollment this fall, and a 50 percent rise in students returning to dorm living.
The liberal arts school joined others from across the region in welcoming students this week.
