Harrison schools were on a two-hour delay while police searched for the stabbing suspect, ABC News 7 New York reported. The victim was cut on the hand by another person in the same car, following a disagreement at the gas station on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Harrison, according to officials.
The slashing victim is said to have gone to the gas station for help and was treated for his injuries. The suspect, who is an acquaintance of the victim, fled the scene on foot.
Police told reporters that the subject of the manhunt that involved multiple law enforcement agencies is well-known to authorities.
According to News 12 Westchester, the slashing involved a "knife or other sharp object" and took place around 5 a.m. Police reportedly spent most of the morning searching near Kenilworth Road in Harrison for a Hispanic male wearing jeans and a brown shirt.
