Martin Luther King Day 2016: Snow Brings Cold

The National Weather Service says snow is likely Sunday afternoon and evening and possible, though less likely, on Jan. 18 in southern Westchester.

Little or no accumulation, that’s a good thing if you’re going to volunteer work, events or services. But it’s going to be brisk -- highs won’t get out of the 20s -- and blustery, with gusty winds 20-25 mph.

And a note of long-range warning from Hudson Valley Weather:

“We have all major forecast models in alliance on the fact that a low pressure system will be along the East coast by the end of next week into the weekend. All models agree on the timing and all models agree on a significant snowfall in the Northeast. The reason we need to remain grounded is the detail of the strength and the exact track.”
