MLK Day 2017: Metro-North Modified Schedule for Harrison

Extra trains on the New Haven line

HARRISON, NY — In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Metro-North Railroad will operate on an enhanced Saturday schedule on Monday, January 16, 2017, that includes 35 additional trains.

The enhanced Saturday service includes 14 extra trains on the Harlem Line, including one additional Wassaic connection; three Hudson Line extras, and 15 extra New Haven Line trains offering branch connections.

For West of Hudson customers, there will be 3 additional trains on the Port Jervis Line. Off-peak fares apply all day.

The extra trains' departure times are included in the current Metro-North timetables dated October 2, 2016, through April 1, 2017, shaded with notes indicating that they will operate on January 16.

The timetables are available at stations or online at Metro-North’s website at www.mta.info/mnr by accessing the schedules link, where one can access for full timetables for each branch or select desired travel times and destination. The information about extra trains is also available through the MTA’s online scheduling tool, TripPlanner+, the Metro-North Train Time™ app and website, or by calling the New York State Travel Information Hotline at 511 from within New York State or (877) 690-5114 from within Connecticut, and saying “Metro-North Railroad,” then “schedules.”
