NYSP: Port Chester Woman Resists DWI Arrest In Harrison
She was stopped at 2:15 a.m. Sunday on the Cross Westchester Expressway.
HARRISON, NY — A Port Chester resident faces charges from New York State Police after an incident on I-287 at 2:15 a.m. Sunday.
Troopers stopped a vehicle on I-287 in the town of Harrison for multiple vehicle and traffic violations. After interviewing the driver, Michele C. Lavarde, officers concluded she was intoxicated.
The 46-year-old physically resisted arrest, police said. She was taken into custody and transported to state police offices in New Rochelle where she refused to give a breath sample, police said.

She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree; all Misdemeanors.
Lavarde was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Harrison Court on Nov. 9.
