Photographer and photo editor Brittany Petronella ’16 (photography, art history minor) turned a lifelong fascination with ghost stories and a passion for storytelling into a social media success.

When laid off from her full-time job at NYC & Company during the pandemic, she began documenting visits to haunted places of note including many right here in the Hudson Valley. What began as a passion project has blossomed into massive followers, including over 331k on TikTok and 14.4k on Instagram.

As a resident of Nyack, she’s always been inspired by artist Edward Hopper, who also called the Hudson River town home.
