
The Purchase Free Library Board of Trustees will hold its annual meeting on Jan. 19.
The library spent the first part of 2015 under fire as its landlord, Purchase Community, Inc., continued attempting to oust it over what officials said were safety concerns.
The Purchase Community House also offers preschool, day camp and night programs for kids and teens and PCI said “non-threatening” actions by library patrons such as “loitering” in the parking lot constituted a risk.

However, in June residents in the Purchase Elementary School enrollment area, whom the Community House primarily and traditionally serves, voted that the library should stay.
The trustees meet at 5 PM at the library. This meeting is open to the public.
