Teamsters & Chauffeurs Local No.456 Choose Gordon, Leader, Romita

Harrison, NY– Teamsters Local Union No. 456 announced its endorsement of the Moving Harrison Forward team of Frank Gordon for Mayor and Lauren Leader and Michael Romita for Town Board. Local 456 represents approximately one-third of Harrison’s full-time municipal employees as well as thousands of other workers who reside in the Town and Westchester County.

Teamsters Local 456 President Louis A. Picani said:

“[Gordon, Leader and Romita] will continue to prove to the people of Harrison that they will be a strong voice for the rights of the working men and women. Local 456 felt that these candidates will stand behind their commitment to be a voice for organized labor.”

A strong and diverse group of labor organizations are coalescing in support of the Moving Harrison Forward team. The Teamsters joins the Westchester-Putnam Counties AFL-CIO Central Labor Body and the Building and Construction Trades Council of Westchester and Putnam Counties in endorsing Gordon, Leader and Romita as leaders that labor trusts.

In a joint statement, Gordon, Leader, and Romita said, “We are honored that a distinguished union such as the Teamsters has placed its confidence in our team. We are devoted to ensuring that working families, who have been the backbone of the Harrison community, will continue to have opportunities to thrive.”
