Thanksgiving Day is here. It’s also the start of the holiday season.
This year, like last year, we only have 28 days between Thanksgiving and Christmas so you’ll have to cram in your shopping in a four-week period.
Thanksgiving will be observed on Thursday, Nov. 26 this year. Below we have a list of early Wednesday closings, what’s open and closed on the Thanksgiving holiday, as well as town offices that are also closed on Friday, Nov. 27.
What’s closed:
- Harrison Central Schools and offices
- Harrison Town Hall and all town offices
- Post Office
- Harrison Public Library
- Most banks
- Courts
- State and Federal government offices
- Garbage and recycling normally collected on Thursday, November 26 will be collected on Wednesday, November 25. There will be no bulk pickup on Wednesday, November 25.
What’s open:
Check with individual restaurants and retailers.
Metro-North Railroad will have additional trains running into and out of Grand Central Terminal before and after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Click below for train times.
