Traffic Alert: I-684 And Sprain Brook Parkway Lane Closures This Week

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Double lane closures are planned this week along parts of I-684 and the Sprain Brook Parkway for sign inspections.

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) said double lane closures are expected along I-684 southbound between Exit 2 (State Route 120) in North Castle and Exit 1 (Interstate 287) in Harrison. The closures will take place on Monday, May 23, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., weather permitting.

The NYSDOT also gave notice that two southbound lanes of the Sprain Brook Parkway will be closed between the Bronx River Parkway and Exit 11 (Cross County Parkway) in Yonkers, on Tuesday, May 24, between 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Drivers are reminded to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
