VIDEO: New Exhibit at Harrison Jewish Community Center Shows Struggle of Jewish Refugees
The photo exhibit in Harrison tells the story of the nearly 20,000 who fled the oppression of the Nazis in Germany in the 1930s and 1940s.

A photo exhibit is on display at the Jewish Community Center in Harrison that shows the flight of thousands of Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany to Shanghai, according to News 12.
A former Shanghai resident Ellen Chaim Kracko spoke of the importance of welcoming refugees today. ”When the Jews were fleeing German and the doors were closed to the rest of the world...had they opened the doors even a little bit, more Jews would have been saved.”
The photo exhibit from the Shanghai Jewish Refugee Museum will be on display in Harrison through Dec. 10, 2015.
