Willow Ridge Country Club Takes it Beyond the Greens,

Next in Series of Farm to Table Dinners is set for June 29th (Harrison, NY) Willow Ridge Country Club is once again “going green” and hosting a series of Farm to Table Dinners. The first dinner was held on May 31st and featured exquisite dining with the freshest selections from local farms, day-boat fishermen and Long Island wineries. All of the dinners begin at 6:30 p.m. with a presentation of local artisanal cheeses, hand-crafted hors d’ouvers and fresh baked breads from local bakeries on the Harvest Table. “I am very excited to be preparing the farm to table dinners again this season.” said Willow Ridge’s Executive Chef, John Chevalier. “It is ideal to create healthy meals from the freshest local produce, meats and fish while supporting the local economy.” Next, The Living Salad Bar will feature the freshest produce from the areas local farmers markets. Diners will choose from a selection of in-ground lettuces and vegetables which will then be freshly cut and served. Members and their guests will then create their own perfect meal selecting the freshest cuts of meat from small ranches, fish from local fishermen and locally grown organic vegetables. “We are very pleased to be bringing the Farm to Table Dinners back to Willow Ridge this year” said Scott Garvin, Chief Operating Officer “The dinners were such a success last year that our members couldn’t wait to do it again.” Following dinner, guests will enjoy a dessert display featuring treats from local bakeries and locally grown fresh fruits and Willow Ridge’s in-house, homemade hot waffles and Cinnamon Sugar Donuts. The remaining dinners will take place on July 13th and October 26th, 2013.
