10 Places To Eat Out This Thanksgiving

Restaurants whose doors are open on Thanksgiving in the Hauppauge area.

Thanksgiving Day is a day marked by the tradition of gathering family and friends for a home-cooked dinner. Some chefs find this exciting, yet for others it can be an overwhelming and stressful experience. If you want to eat out, there are a few places in and around Hauppauge serving up Thanksgiving dinner. 

1. 
This local steakhouse is open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving day. They will be serving food from their regular menus, as well as some Thanksgiving specials including Turkey Roast and Leg of Lamb.   

2. 
Next door to Pace's, the casual Italian restaurant will be open from noon until the last reservation is served. Their three-course menu includes choice of eight appetizers, seafood and pasta entries with a special Home Cooked Sliced Turkey Dinner, and desserts at $20.99 per person. They are still accepting reservations.

3. 
Located within the , the restaurant will be open from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. They will be offering their usual menu for patrons.

This local mainstay is open 24 hours, and Thanksgiving is no exception. Regular menu will be served up with diner's specials  announced on Thanksgiving Day.

5. Fountain Grill
The on-site restaurant of the  in Hauppauge, it will be offering a Thanksgiving buffet dinner with a variety of stations from 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. Price per person is $40 plus gratuity for adults and $20 plus gratuity for children. =

6. Dave and Buster's 
This Islandia restaurant, bar and arcade will be open from 5:00 p.m. to midnight on Thanksgiving. Stop by to grab a one of their dishes for an non-traditional Thanksgiving with friends or family. It will also be offering  special games and discounts on meals.

7. 
This Smithtown restaurant is still accepting reservations for noon, 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. seatings. A limited Thanksgiving menu will include a Roasted Turkey, Lamb Shank, Long Island Duck entrees and more. Cost is $40 per person.

Located inside The Three Village Inn of Stony Brook, this French restaurant set in a historic home will be offering a Thanksgiving buffet at $49 per person plus tax at gratuity starting at noon. Menu will include  traditional Thanksgiving sides, a carving station, chafing dishes and more. 

9. 
Hate turkey, have breakfast for your  Thanksgiving brunch. IHOP will be open from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. Look for any Thanksgiving specials will be announced by your server that day.

10.
Better known by locals as "Hot Bagels," the shop will be open from midnight on Nov. 24 to 1 p.m. Thanksgiving day. Granted, it's not a sit down Thanksgiving dinner, but a place to grab bagels if you have out-of-town guests who are hungry for breakfast.
