5 Cars Stolen In 1 Hour: Suffolk Police

All five vehicles were unlocked with key fobs inside, police say.

HAUPPAUGE, NY — Five cars were stolen in one hour in Hauppauge on Thursday morning, Suffolk police said.

The cars were stolen from outside homes on Bezel Lane, Sandra Drive, Steven Place, and Maureen Drive between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., police said. All five vehicles were unlocked with key fobs inside.

There were three recent thefts of items from vehicles in the area during overnight hours, police said. Detectives are looking into the three thefts are connected to the five stolen cars.

Anyone with information on these thefts was asked to call Fourth Squad Detectives or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
