$58.2M Hauppauge School District Bond Project Approved By Voters

HAUPPAUGE, NY — A $58.2 million bond project was approved Tuesday by voters in the boundaries of the Hauppauge School District, the district announced.
The project is aimed at bringing educational, safety, infrastructural, and athletic updates to the schools. The results were 807 yes votes to 278 no votes.
"The district is extremely grateful to the community for its overwhelming support of the bond project," Superintendent of Schools Dr. Donald Murphy said in a news release. "Our district has continued to invest in providing exceptional programs for students, and these updates will further our mission of helping today’s learners become tomorrow’s leaders. We look forward to the changes ahead and will keep residents updated throughout the planning and construction phases."
