70-Year-Old Woman Drowns in Pool
The victim, Barbara Bruce, was discovered in the in-ground pool at 4 Saggese Circle by family members.
A 70-year-old woman died on Sunday after drowning in a Nesconset pool, according to Newsday.
The victim, Barbara Bruce, was discovered in the in-ground pool at 4 Saggese Circle by family members, who pulled her out of the water before rescuers from the Nesconset Fire Department arrived on the scene at around 2:30 p.m.
Family members did not know how long she'd been under the water.
According to the article, firefighters and other rescuers performed CPR on Bruce and attempted to revive her with a defibrillator.
She was later declared dead at Stony Brook University Hospital.
