"There is a demand here. There's a void and lull in both music instruction and retail," said Paul Schreier, a partner in All Music's Hauppauge location.
Guy Brogna, a former touring musician and partner in All Music, said the company wasn't necesarily looking to expand but the Route 111 location within walking distance of Hauppauge Middle School and Hauppauge High School presented a business opportunity that was hard to resist.

Previously, Guitar Asylum offered private lessons and sold equipment in the Shoprite Shopping Center before consolidating its showroom and warehouse in Rocky Point and being replaced by Cavalli Jewelry. Schrier said he hopes All Music will be able to fill the void left behind.
"I think we're bringing something unique, something different to Hauppauge," he said.
All Music will have three performance rooms with ample group jams, allowing students to practice performing as part of a full rock band ensemble. In addition, a stage built into the retail side of the store will create space for performances and lessons by touring musicians, Brogna said.
All Music will host its grand opening on June 10 at 1 p.m.
