• Illegal Turn Leads To 3-Vehicle Hauppauge Crash, Woman Seriously Hurt: PD (patch.com subscription) — A serious three-vehicle crash at Route 347 and Route 111 in Hauppauge sent a 68-year-old Lake Grove woman to Stony Brook University Hospital with major injuries after police say another driver made an illegal left turn. Two others were also hospitalized, all three vehicles were impounded for safety checks, and Suffolk County's Fourth Squad is asking anyone who saw the collision to contact detectives.
