Capital One Holds Grand Opening in Lake Grove
Bank branch relocated in January, has seen drop off in customer traffic.
Capital One bank celebrated the grand opening of its new Lake Grove location on Friday.
Customers were treated to free hot dogs and popcorn outside the store in addition to free face painting for children. Bank employees were on hand to discuss accounts and deals.
The bank moved from the former Circuit City Shopping Center on Alexander Avenue to the Smith Haven Mall shopping Plaza overlooking Route 347 in January. Branch manager Christine Brown said she held off holding a grand opening.

"We didn't have it then due to the weather, " Brown said. " At least now we can keep the doors open. "
Capital One's location moved in hopes of taking advantage of increase traffic being directly on Route 347. However, the move seems to have confused customers.

"We have seen a decrease in floor traffic since we moved here, and I don't know why," Brown said.
