CCCS Takes Two
Medford's Tinamarie Bernocco and Commack's Millie de la Concha-Gonzalez Join the Child Care Council of Suffolk's Professional Staff
The Child Care Council of Suffolk (CCCS) is pleased to extend a warm welcome to Tinamarie Bernocco and Millie de la Concha-Gonzalez and is very enthusiastic about the talent and the energy that they bring to the agency.
Medford resident Bernocco joined the Child Care Council of Suffolk’s Resource & Referral Department as a parent counselor. She has more than 20 years of experience in the early childhood field having worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher, trainer of early childhood teachers and administrator of early childhood not-for-profit programs. Bernocco holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education, Nursery–6th Grade from SUNY Stony Brook. “Working alongside parents to advocate for quality child care has always been my passion. I look forward to helping Suffolk County families going forward as a parent counselor,” Bernocco stated.
de la Concha-Gonzalez recently joined the CCCS Resource & Referral Department as a bilingual parent counselor. The Commack resident holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from Marymount College in Tarrytown and a Master's degree in School Counseling from the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle. de la Concha-Gonzalez previously worked for the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) as a Spanish teacher and then as a school counselor. “I enjoy my new position at CCCS, particularly the opportunity I have to assist families in their search for child care programs and community resources,” de la Concha-Gonzalez said.
