ClubCorp Acquires Hauppauge Golf Course

Texas-based company purchases The Hamlet Wind Watch Golf Course and Country Club, has plans to renovate.

A Texas-based private club developer has purchased The Hamlet Wind Watch Golf and Country Club on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge.

ClubCorp announced Wednesday it had acquired three golf clubs on Long Island including The Hamlet Golf and Country Club in Commack and The Hamlet Willow Creek Golf and Country Club in Mount Sinai. The price paid to the Holiday Organization for these properties was not disclosed.

The company has plans to make multi-million-dollar renovations to the three facilities. Each club will have practice facilities, bar and lounge areas and ballrooms.

"We are excited to expand ClubCorp's presence in the northeastern U.S. by adding these three prestigious clubs to our portfolio," said Mark Burnett, ClubCorp executive vice president, golf and country club division, in a statement. "The Hamlet clubs provide the perfect venues for ClubCorp to continue its commitment to building relationships and enriching the lives of our members by offering yet more outstanding golf facilities in one of the most traveled and beautiful areas of the country."

Current members will have the option of participating in ClubCorp's Signature Gold program.
