Drunken Woman Drove Wrong-Way On Nesconset Highway: Police
A 911 caller reported that a woman was driving in the wrong lane early Saturday, police say.
HAUPPAUGE, NY — An intoxicated woman accused of driving the wrong way on Nesconset Highway was arrested early Saturday, Suffolk police said.
A 911 caller told officers that a sedan was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Nesconset Highway at 3:10 a.m., police said.
An officer from the Fourth Precinct pulled over Karen Morales-Moreno, 21, of Port Jefferson, who was driving a 2020 Honda Civic, just west of Browns Road in Hauppauge at 3:15 a.m., police said. Officers determined Morales-Moreno was intoxicated and placed her under arrest, police said.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated.
She was held at the Fourth Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip later on Saturday.
