The Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge--part of Gateway National Recreation Area--is one of the most important bird sanctuaries in the Northeastern United States, and one of the best places in New York to observe
migrating species.
Over the last 25 years, more than 330 bird species--nearly half the species in the Northeast--have been sighted at the refuge.
Join Steve Bard as he leads an easy, flat walk through this bird-watchers paradise. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Feel free to bring cameras, and/or binoculars.
