Congratulations to Cub Scout Pack 589!
Cub Scout Pack 589 from Hauppauge recently hosted a Blue and Gold banquet.
The banquets are held to celebrate the pack's anniversary as well as thank pack leaders and other adults who have helped the pack, and inspire the leaders, Scouts, and parents.

Throughout the year the WEBELOS from Pack 589 took collections for Adopt a Battalion as their community service project, which followed through to the Blue and Gold Theme- honoring Veterans, and the Branches of the Military.
Among the highlights was the recognition of five WEBELOS II scouts who had earned the Arrow of Light award (the highest award a Cub Scout can earn); and bridged into Boy Scout Troops 214 and 343.

In addition to receiving this prestigious award, each scout received a First Congressional District Recognition from Congressman Lee Zeldin personally during the ceremony.
Senator Thomas Croci sent a representative to present each WEBELO II a Certification of Recognition to each WEBELO as well.
The event was coordinated by the WEBELOS II and their Den Leaders, Cynthia Dano and Holly Glick; and directed by Cubmaster Len Dano.
Congratulations to Cub Scout Pack 589!
