Hauppauge Football Player Earns All-County
Senior Mike Ortolani represents Hauppauge High School on county teams.
A Hauppauge football player was selected for Suffolk's All-County team.
Mike Ortolani, senior wide receiver and quarterback, was honored for being selected for Suffolk's All-County team at the Suffolk County Football Coaches Association dinner on Thursday Night.
Ortolani lead his team in scoring throughout the season. Here are a few of the highlights:

- On Sept. 27, Ortolani struck fear into his opponents, showing he would be a forced to be reckoned with scoring three touchdowns against Harborfields in a 28-21 win. The senior made three rushing touch downs of 27-yards, 25-yards and 2-yards.
- Ortolani controlled the field on Oct. 1 against , leading the Eagles' offense. Ortolani completed a 55-yard passing touchdown and made three rushing touchdowns, two at more than 45 yards.
- On Oct. 16, the senior hit a season-record against scoring five touchdowns. Ortolani completed three rushing touchdowns for a total of 67 yards, made a 52-yard interception and completed a 7-yard pass. He led his team to a 41-21 victory.
- Ortolani defended his home turf at against Shoreham-Wading River on Oct. 23. Ortolani completed 5 of 6 passes for 78 yards leading to two passing touch downs and completed two rushing touchdowns - 18 yards and 37 yards - on the night. His touchdowns contributed to the Eagles' 48-0 win.
