Hauppauge Man Named Representative for Suffolk Chapter of New York CPAs

Hauppauge resident John Shillingsford was installed as the new director representative of the Suffolk chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants at their 114th annual Election Meeting and Dinner on May 14.

Shillingsford is a partner of , where he is a member of the Quality Control Committee and in charge of the peer review program. He has been a member of the NYSSCPA since 1994.

The NYSSCPA is a nonprofit organization representing more than 28,000 CPAs  with the aim of establishing  and maintaining high standards of integrity and character for CPAs. 

Shillingsford also sits on the executive board of directors and the strategy task of the Suffolk Chapter of the NYSSCPA. He has previously served as the organization's president, president-elect, vice president and treasurer.
