Hauppauge teen continues to lead by example!
Daniel Panaro, Captain of Team Panaro Power is determined to raise $10,000 for JDRF again!

On Sunday, October 21st, Team Panaro Power is participating in the annual JDRF One Walk® to create a world without T1D. They are raising money to fund life-changing research for the millions of people affected by T1D—people like him.
Daniel was diagnosed with T1D a month before his 13th birthday. Instead of letting it get him down, he faced the challenge head on. He teamed up with JDRF and all of the resources they had to offer. Last year, with your help, his team was able to raise over $10,000. Without all of you this would never have been possible. Once again, with your help his team is determined to raise $10,000 for this cause.
In 2017 he was lucky enough to be selected to be a Delegate for The JDRF Children’s Congress. He traveled to Washington, D.C. with other individuals affected by T1D to advocate for continued support of the Special Diabetes Program. This was just one way he hoped to help find a cure for T1D.

He was also contacted by Sayville School District to participate in a Kids Walk at Lincoln Avenue Elementary School. He spoke to students there and anwered all of there questions about T1D. He participated in their Kids Walk and the proceeds were donated to Daniel's walk team. He was honored and humbled by the experience!
This year he was selected by his HS to be the single individual in his grade to attend HOBY Youth Leadership Conference. He attended a 3-day seminar and participated in hands-on leadership activities, met leaders in the state, and explored his own personal leadership skills while learning how to make a positive impact in his community. He hopes to use the knowledge he gained from this experience to help continue to fight for the change needed to cure T1D.

This year he was selected as the Youth Achievement Award winner by NYU Winthrop Hospital and will be honored at their 9th Annual Bite of Hope Fundraiser this November.
This is the third year that his team is walking. His goal is to raise at aleast $10,000. Please help him beat this goal!

"I would be honored if you would stand with me to help fight T1D. Whether you donate your time, money or support, everything and anything you do is greatly appreciated! I am hopeful that by supporting JDRF, there will be a cure. Thank you in advance for supporting my team, it means the world to me." -Daniel Panaro
