LI Bank Offering Special Loans To Gov't Employees During Shutdown
The local financial institution will be offering interest-free short-term loans to government workers impacted by the shutdown.

ISLANDIA, NY - Empire National Bank recently announced that it will be offering interest-free short-term loans to government workers impacted by the current national government shutdown.
The Islandia-based financial institution has allocated $2,500,000 for this short-term program.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Douglas C. Manditch made the announcement.

"As a community bank, we feel an obligation to help these hard-working men and women during this difficult time," CEO Douglas C. Manditch said. "By making these funds available, we hope it will ease the burden these government employees face trying to meet their day-to-day expenses without the benefit of a paycheck."
This offer is available to residents of Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

The loans will be payable upon receipt of back pay. Amounts for each loan will be determined on an individual basis.
