Local Boy Jumps & Walks for a Cure!

Daniel Panaro is 13 years old and was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes this past March. He was quite shocked, especially since he wasn’t feeling ill. He has learned how to administer insulin, carb count and treat all of the highs and lows that come with diabetes...both physically and emotionally.

T1D is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. It strikes both children and adults and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle. With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure—yet. It has not been an easy road, but he is determined to not let it slow him down!

Daniel is trying to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). He has formed a fundraising team, “PANARO POWER” through JDRF. To help raise money for his team he has created a fundraiser at Air Trampoline In Ronkonkoma. He will also be participating in the JDRF One Walk.

Daniel is also participating in the JDRF ONE WALK to help find a cure and turn Type One into Type None. He would be honored if you would join his team, PANARO POWER to help fund raise and walk on October 17th in Yaphank!

Together we can make a difference. Please help him help cure Type One Diabetes. His dad passed away last summer, but always said, “Never doubt the Power of the Panaro!” Join team PANARO POWER and help to prove him right!
