Man With Dementia Reported Missing
The 73-year-old was last seen walking across Veterans Memorial Highway Sunday evening.
ISLANDIA, NY - Suffolk Police have issued a Silver Alert on Monday for a missing Islandia man who suffers from dementia and hypertension.
Anthony “Tony” Defeo, 73, has gone missing from The Arbors Assisted Living at Islandia East on 1515 Veterans Memorial Highway.
He was last seen walking west across Veterans Memorial Highway at 5:10 p.m. on Sunday.

He may be heading to his previous address at 33 Magnet Street in Stony Brook or Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai.
He is described as 5-foot-7, 150 pounds, with short grey hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black tee shirt with white lettering (including the word “beer”), blue jeans and white sneakers.

He has a tattoo of Air Force wings on both his left arm and his chest, and another tattoo on his arm of the letters “BOTCH”.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452 or call 911.
