North Shore Farms Eyeing Old Hauppauge Waldbaum's Location

The former Waldbaum's location on Veterans Highway in Hauppauge likely won't be empty for long.

North Shore Farms is currently renovating the interior of the store, according to a permit filed with the Town of Islip.

The permit for an interior alteration was issued on April 7.

North Shore Farms, which currently has six Long Island locations, so far is playing it coy when it comes to plans for its seventh.

A spokesman for the chain, which bills itself as "the best of a grocery store, a farmer’s market, and a specialty store," said he couldn't confirm that North Shore Farms will open in Hauppauge, adding that the company is "exploring a number of possible locations for our seventh store."
