Not To Miss: Lady Eagles Lacrosse Competes For Suffolk Title
Hauppauge varsity girls lacrosse play in the finals of the Suffolk County Class B Championship on Thursday.

The Hauppauge varsity girls lacrosse team will play against Shoreham-Wading River in hope of bringing home the Suffolk County Class B Championship title on Thursday.
The top-seeded Lady Eagles are undefeated with a 14-0 record in Division II and have continued their winning streak in the post season. Hauppaugein the first round of the playoffs. Then the Lady Eagles faced their first strong challenge of the season from Eastport-South Manor, winning 11-9 in overtime advance to the finals.
Hauppauge defeated No. 3 ranked Shoreham-Wading River earlier this season, winning 12-7 on April 13. In that game, senior captain Jennifer Porretto led the offense scoring four goals. The key to the Lady Eagle's victory was Lindsey Alfano forcing eight turnovers, allowing Hauppauge to keep control of the game.

The two teams will play each other in a rematch at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at Dowling College's Sports Complex, 1300 William Floyd Parkway, Shirley. Admission is $6.
