Rigatoni's Dishing Up 100 Free Pizzas

Hauppauge pizzeria will give out 100 free pizzas to help dole out warm meals to those still without power.

 

A Hauppauge pizzeria will be giving out free pizzas to customers in need of a warm meal on Monday afternoon. 

Rigatoni's Pizza & Pasta in Hauppauge will be giving out 100 free pizzas starting at 4 p.m. Monday in hopes of helping out customers without power and in need of a warm meal.

"We feel lucky that we've had power since Wednesday and want to give back to people who are struggling right now without power," said Kyle Markott, owner of Rigatoni's Pizza & Pasta. 

The pizzeria, located at 160 Adams Avenue in the Hauppauge industrial park, recently opened in mid-September. It's specialty are deep dish pizzas and having a wide variety of assorted by the slice pizza available.

Nearly 14,500 Town of Smithtown residents remain without power as of 8 a.m. Monday morning. 

The Red Cross is also offering hot meals to area residents without power at the H. Lee Dennison Building off Route 347 in Hauppauge, near the Suffolk County offices. Lunch is served daily at 11 a.m. followed by dinnerat 4 p.m.
