Winner Declared in NY 8th Assembly District Race

LONG ISLAND, NY - Long Island residents got the chance to vote for the representative of New York's Eigth Assembly District this Election Day.

Incumbent Michael Fitzpatrick (R) was challenged by Dave Morrissey (D).

According to the unofficial results, with 103 out of 103 of the precinct reporting, Fitzpatrick took the lead with 30,383 votes while Morrissey received 19,086 votes.
