SCWBEC Joins Habitat For Humanity
Suffolk County Women's Networking Organization Participated in Suffolk's Habitat For Humanity National Women Build Week 2017

Members of the Board of the Suffolk County Women's Business Enterprise Coalition (SCWBEC) donned hard hats and tool belts and displayed their community spirit at the Habitat for Humanity's National Women Build Week in Mastic Beach on Monday 8, May.
All independent business owners, the eight representatives of the 1,000-member strong organization engaged in the exhilarating exercise to help further Habitat Suffolk's mission to build homes and hope. Service to the community is nothing new to the group, many of whom have been awarded commendations by County Executive Steve Bellone's Office of Women's Services.
The membership-based organization, founded by two visionary leaders and chartered in 1990, is dedicated to supporting women-owned businesses. Originally formed to assist women in procuring government contracts in order to compete in the construction trade, its mission has since expanded to promote, encourage and support members across various industries.
