UPDATE: Police ID Woman Killed in LIE Crash, 2 Others Injured
A 22-year-old woman was killed in a the crash Wednesday afternoon, police say.

Police have released the identities of the people involved in a fatal crash on the eastbound Long Island Expressway in Hauppauge Wednesday afternoon, police said.
According to police, 22-year-old Andrea Acosta, of Bay Shore, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer in the HOV lane at about 4:10 p.m. As she approached Exit 57, Acosta crossed over the HOV lane buffer and drove across an additional three lanes of travel. Her vehicle then struck a 2013 Hyundai that was in the far right lane of travel, police said.
Acosta was pronounced dead at the scene. Casandra Carreon, 18, of Brentwood, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was treated for serious injuries. Francisco Ayaraca, 19, of Brentwood, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai, Gregorio Pisciotti, 50, of Patchogue, was not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this crash to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
