Teachers Federal Credit Union Opens in Hauppauge
Credit union opens its 23rd branch on Motor Parkway near the Hauppauge industrial park.

Teachers Federal Credit Union staff celebrated the grand opening of its 23rd branch in Hauppauge at 102 Motor Parkway on Nov. 28.
"Over the past year we have seen record growth in our membership. To meet the needs of our current and new members we are adding branches to our network," said Robert G. Allen, president and CEO of TFCU.
TFCU has grown over recent months to have close to 220,000 customers, which is approximately one member in every five Suffolk County households, according to the credit union's estimates.

The credit union chose the Motor Parkway site due to its central location in Hauppauge and easy accessibility, minutes off Exit 55 on the Long Island Expressway. It is also located near the Northern State Parkway, Sunken Meadow Parkway and Route 347/Nesconset Highway.
The branch hours are Monday to Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The branch also includes an ATM open to the public and free coin machine service for members.
