The Wobbly Olive To Open in Hauppauge Industrial Park
New ownership transforms the former Pomodorino's into a gastropub.
A new gastropub, The Wobbly Olive, will open its doors in the Hauppauge Industrial Park on Friday.
The Wobbly Olive has taken over the former site of , an Italian restaurant that closed in April. The new owners, Vincent Manghisi and Vinnie Montenegro, were busy checking over last-minute details at the bar on Wednesday afternoon.
The gastropub's grand opening will feature half-price drinks from 4 p.m .to 7 p.m. with a live performance by the Maniacs, who will play three sets of Top 40 songs. Attendees must be 25 years of age or older and the venue's casual dress code prohibits baggy jeans, hoodies and hats.

The new eatery will offer lunch, dinner and late night menus featuring a twist on American comfort food. A brief preview on The Wobbly Olive's website lists appetizers ranging from mac and cheese to filo wrapped preserved fig with meals options including sandwiches, burgers, pastas and pub-inspired entrees prepared by chef Richard Desmond.
For those looking to grab a drink, The Wobbly Olive will offer a VIP bottle service with a $250 minimum.
