Two Suffolk Businesses Robbed At Gunpoint

The two nearby businesses were robbed within hours of each other this week.

Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred at businesses in Islandia and Hauppauge this week.

On Thursday, a man entered Dunkin' Donuts on 1275 Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge, armed with a gun and demanded cash at 4:15 p.m.

He fled with on foot with cash.

Then on Friday, a man entered 7-Eleven on 2140 Motor Parkway in Islandia, less than 3 miles away from the Dunkin' Donuts, armed with a gun and demanded cash at 12:55 a.m.

The man fled on foot with cash.

Detectives are investigating if the robberies are connected. No description of the robbers was available.
