Update: Westbound Long Island Expressway Reopens In Islandia
The LIE is now reopened after a morning crash at exit 58 shut it down.
Update 1 p.m.: A section of the Long Island Expressway that was closed earlier due to an accident has now reopened.
Suffolk County police closed the LIE at exit 58 at 9 a.m. due to a multi-car accident that injured three people, one critically. Police are investigating. Patch will continue to update this story as information becomes available.
