Police ID Woman Killed After Crashing Into Utility Pole
The woman veered off the roadway and crashed into the pole early Friday.

HAUPPAUGE, NY - Rosa Portillo, 29, of Central Islip, has been identified as the woman who was killed in the motor vehicle crash in Hauppauge early Friday morning, according to Suffolk Police.

HAUPPAUGE, NY - A driver was killed after crashing into a utility pole early Friday, according to Suffolk Police.
A woman was driving a 2003 Nissan Murano southbound on Wheeler Road when the vehicle veered off the roadway on Wheeler Road and struck a utility pole.

The woman, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
