BROOKLYN, NY — Marriott International and New York- and Nashville-based real estate investment and development firm SomeraRoad have unveiled plans for The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Brooklyn Heights
The luxury residential development will be at 98 Montague Street.
The project will transform the former 14-story Hotel Bossert, a Renaissance Revival landmark that opened in 1909.
"We believe this project will become Brooklyn's premier residential address and stand among the finest new residential offerings in New York City," Ian Ross, Founder and Managing Principal of SomeraRoad.
SomeraRoad acquired the property in 2025 and plans to restore its historic architectural features, including its geometric brick façade, granite and limestone base, terra-cotta details, arched windows and cast-iron railings.
The development will offer luxury residences paired with Ritz-Carlton hospitality and services, including a 24-hour-attended lobby, dedicated residential services and amenities focused on wellness, leisure and entertaining.
Residents will also have access to benefits through Marriott's Residence Owner Recognition Program.
Union Square Hospitality Group, founded by Danny Meyer, will open its first full-service Brooklyn restaurant on the building's first floor.
The restaurant is expected to serve both residents and the surrounding Brooklyn Heights community.

Construction is expected to begin later this year, with completion anticipated in 2029. Sales and marketing are being led by SERHANT. New Development, with Ravi Kantha and the Kantha Team leading sales.
