Brooklyn 9/11 Victims Honored In New Memorial, Says Borough President
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams announced a new banner will honor the 266 Brooklyn residents who died on 9/11.

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — A banner honoring Brooklyn residents killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks will be unveiled at a remembrance ceremony next week, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams announced.
The banner — which features the names of 266 Brooklyn residents who died during the attacks — will be unveiled at Brooklyn Borough Hall on Sept. 7 at 9 a.m., according to a statement from the Borough President’s office.
“As we mourn those we lost on September 11th, it is important for us to come together as
Brooklynites and remember their lives and their achievements,” said Borough President Adams.

“This will serve as a permanent memorial to the victims — for their families, friends, and every Brooklynite.”
The event is open to the public and more information is available on the Brooklyn borough president’s website.
