CDC Head Tom Frieden Arrested For Sex Abuse In Brooklyn, Cops Say
The former NYC Health Commissioner allegedly groped a woman in his Montague Street home, said police.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Thomas Frieden, the former Center for Disease Control and Prevention director and a one-time Health Commissioner in New York City — has been arrested for sexually abusing a woman inside his Brooklyn Heights home, police said.
Frieden, 57, stands accused of groping a 55-year-old woman's buttocks inside his home at 180 Montague St. in October 2017, said police.
Police believe Frieden's alleged victim was an acquaintance but more information about their relationship was not immediately available.

The former health commissioner turned himself into the Brooklyn Special Victims unit within the 77th Precinct, where he was charged with forcible touching, sex abuse and harassment, said police.
Frieden served as the head of the CDC from 2009 to 2017 and as the New York City Health Commissioner from 2002 to 2009.
