MetroTech Workers Rescued From 17-Story Scaffolding: FDNY

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — Two workers were rescued from scaffolding that stood 17 stories above the ground on Tuesday, according to the FDNY.

Emergency responders rushed to 4 MetroTech Center where two people were reported stuck on scaffolding around 10:20 a.m., said FDNY.

The workers were hauled onto the roof of the 25-story building around 10:50 a.m., by which time no injuries had been reported, said an FDNY spokesman.

It was not immediately clear how the workers were rescued, FDNY said.

The skyscraper, which stands at the corner of Duffield and Willoughby streets, is owned by JP Morgan Chase and was built in 1991, according to a Real Deal report.
