NYC Subway Delays: Signal Problems Stall A/C Trains In Brooklyn
A and C trains heading into Manhattan from Brooklyn were slowed to a crawl due to signal problems at Hoyt-Schermerhorn.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY — A and C line commuters were stuck on trains for hours Wednesday morning due to "multiple ongoing signal problems" affecting the lines, the MTA announced.
Northbound A and C trains experienced heavy delays heading from Brooklyn to Manhattan, according to the MTA and frustrated commuters. Some riders claimed on social media that they had been stuck on trains for an hour or more but still had not arrived in Manhattan.
"This A/C line is garbage this morning!! I’m still in BK at Washington Ave and I’ve been on the train since Kingston/Throop it’s been an hour now!!!" one commuter wrote on Twitter.

Another Twitter user wrote that it took 45 minutes to travel two stops.
The MTA said that signal problems at both the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Street and Utica Avenue stations were to blame for the delays. The Hoyt-Schermerhorn station is the third-to-last stop in Brooklyn before reaching Manhattan on the A and C lines.

The signal problems were first reported by the MTA shortly before 7 a.m. and were still affecting train service as of 9:18 when the MTA tweeted: "Our crews are on site working to fix the problem as quickly as possible."
A service may have resumed but I’ve been on the C for almost an hour. I usually have a 25 minute ride including the second train I take. Train operator just said “you have the choice to get up and leave” in response to upset passengers. @MTA https://t.co/CHwT37qYdf
