Swastikas Drawn on Brooklyn Heights Homes Before Halloween: Cops
Garden Place residents found their block covered in hate symbols Tuesday night, police said.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS -- Someone drew swastikas and other hate messages on a quiet Brooklyn Height block the night before Halloween, according to police.
A 46-year-old man reported swastikas had been drawn in chalk on buildings near Garden Place and State Street at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night, police said.
Police sources told NBC News that the n-word had also been written on multiple spots up on the block.

The vandalism comes just days after the largest anti-Semitic attack in the United State's history when 11 people were massacred at a Pitssburgh synagogue.
New York City officials and faith leaders have since held numerous vigils to stand against hatred and in support of the city's Jewish community.
Police will investigate the vandalism as a hate crime.
