2 Hicksville Stores Sold Alcohol To Underage Customers: Police

A police operation led to the arrest of two people for selling alcohol to minors.

HICKSVILLE, NY — This week, state police conducted underage drinking enforcement operations in the area, and two local businesses were cited.

Police had undercover officer who were under 21 try to buy alcohol from stores in the Town of North Hempstead and the Town of Oyster Bay. Of the 10 stores that police visited, 8 refused to sell to the underage officer. All of the stores visited were in Westbury and Hicksville.

Clerk from 7-Eleven and Green Wine and Liquor, both located on Old Country Road in Hickvsille, were arrested during the operation. The two were charged with first-degree unlawful dealing with a child and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage.
