2 Men Held At Gunpoint In Attempted Robbery In Nassau: Police
Two men approached a pair of other men, held what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money, police say.
NEW CASSEL, NY — Two men tried to rob two other men Thursday night in New Cassel, Nassau police said.
Two men, ages 41 and 37, were parked on Sherman Street when they were approached by two men they did not know at 10:40 p.m., police said. One man displayed what appeared to be a black handgun and demanded the men's money, police said. The men had no money to give, so the two other men fled north on Sherman Street, police said.
The first man, who displayed the handgun, was described by police as 5 feet 8 inches tall and wearing a black face mask and a black jacket.

The second man was described by police as 5 feet 6 inches tall wearing dark-colored clothing.
Detectives asked anyone with information about the attempted robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
